not your run-of-the-mill

One of the wonderful things with the internet is the possibility to spread things across the world and connect all these many viewpoints into something new. My own belief and fascination with Esotericism was the fact that I could see, smell, feel these connections between the different disciplines and tracing down those connections and finding the hooks always felt like opening doors into a new candy store.
Similar like having the ability of speaking a variety of languages, being able to express oneself in different voices opens expression tremendously. There are times that one language doesn’t even have an exact word to express what you are trying to convey, but then another language can come to the aid. Also, having a large vocabulary is a wonderful thing for the things you can do with it and how much connection it can give you around this world.
Opening the eye and connecting between the disciplines is something that Tarot of Color does in a great way.
It is a deck without pictures and probably not a deck I would suggest for somebody new to esotericism, but Leisa ReFalo, the creator, has also put up a great website which allows you to connect known Tarot images from the Universal Waite deck with the colored cards and gives also insights to the colors and their integrated meaning. Browsing the site will also give good insights for new people, and, if somebody believes into healing with colors, this site could be a revelation.

I have one of Leisa’s Tarot journals but had not really looked at this deck closely. Thank you for bringing it back to my attention! I have to admit, as much as I dig the Golden Dawn stuff, I have a hard time sinking my teeth into color-as-symbol and, as such, have neglected that part of my tarot study. Might be time to really take a look…
Have fun with it!
