My past few entries probably have already created some pretty bad storms on some strata. I do not mean to be disrespectful, the path I am following here is how I see it and the conclusions I have come to through the paths of my studies and my life. Partially I am also glancing over a few things to not make this an endless introduction, and these are probably some of the points which will sit sore with people on the esoteric path.

But if you are interested in learning to look at some things differently, then keep on reading.

One of the points I have mentioned already is that it is not some higher force guiding the hand to give you the cards. It is YOU who choses them.

Once the “mystic” and “higher force” or “other force” has been ruled out of the game, there remain two distinct different viewpoints in regards to the cards you draw:

a) You draw something by chance - and it actually doesn’t matter which card you pull - and then you find things in the card you can agree with and which you can bring in some conjunction with the current question at stake. Or,

b) You are so much more powerful than you now realize nor could ever admit to yourself, and that you (unconsciously) pull the exact cards which will communicate the best to you and your current situation. With other words, you actually know which cards you pull even though you do not see the front of them and that you can pick out the ‘correct’ card out of the whole stack without even a blink of the eye.

It actually does not matter if you believe it is a) or b).

Myself, I find b) is the case and if I work in this frame set it is really more fun to work.

And FUN is one thing what it really should be for you. Tarot is not serious, it is creative and entertaining.

Plus you have a chance to put pictures and thoughts to things you feel and maybe even suspect but just not have (yet) admitted to yourself. Tarot cards can actually help you to talk with yourself and to be more honest with yourself.

For this reason I will never ask you to light a candle, burn some smoke stick, darken the room or go through a specific routine of shuffling the cards. If this is part of what makes it fun to you, well, then go right ahead. Just don’t get hypnotized by these rituals or fooled that you’re invoking some spirit or such.

Over the course of time I will go over different card layouts which I think are a good balance and will not involve any predictions. At some point I will probably also include a few layouts which do give cards for the future, but then I will again point out the fact that you need to realize that this is nothing but a card that you drew and that you can agree with what you see in it or not. It is not destiny. You are now and you create your future.
